Hello Folks, we have made prediction for top 2 teams from each group in FIFA World Cup before the start of the world cup. Now we are going to discuss what scenarios are now open in each group after Match Week 1. We have seen some upsets and some dominating performances so far in Match Week 1 of FIFA World Cup 2022. Lets see group wise who have more chances to qualify for Knockout Rounds after Match Week 1. By the time this blog is being written, Iran has beaten Wales by 2-0.

Group A

Teams : Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Top 2 : Netherlands, Senegal

Senegal lost the match to Netherlands who are dark horse in this Football World Cup. Ecuador beat Qatar in opening match of FIFA World Cup 2022. Qatar currently have to face Senegal and Netherlands and if we just focus on the quality of those teams then sorry to say but Qatar have no chance to qualify now.

Netherlands have 3 points after first match and will look to continue to the same against the high flying Ecuador. Senegal will look to bounce back against Qatar and bring their journey back on track to qualify for next rounds. They will surely have a kind of knockout against Ecuador but we are backing Senegal to overcome that obstacle.

Group B

Teams : England, Iran, USA, Wales

Top 2 : England, USA

Wild Card : Iran

England beat Iran comprehensively and are set to qualify for the next round. By the time this blog is being written, Iran has beaten Wales and are proving that they have an outside chance to qualify for Knockouts. Wales now are looking at Group Stage exit in their FIFA World Cup after more than 50 years and will look to do well against their arch rivals England.

USA will be facing England and Iran. They draw their match against Wales which can haunt them if they draw or lose against Iran and England both. They need at least 1 win out of remaining 2 matches to prove our prediction right, Haha!

Group C

Teams : Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Top 2 : Argentina, Mexico

New Wild Card : Saudi Arabia

We have seen the upset of the World Cup when Saudi Arabia beat Argentina 2-1 in their first World Cup group match. Argentina surely have the quality in their squad and would want to show that the upset was one-off match for the team and it was good that it came early in the campaign. They will be facing Mexico and Poland in next coming days.

Since Saudi Arabia have a win against the favorites Argentina so we have added them as a Wild Card because Mexico still is a very good team would be unhappy if they not qualify for next round. On the other hand, Poland has Lewandowski but the team is lacking the connection among the players as a whole.

Group D

Teams : France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

Top 2 : France, Denmark

Wild Card : Australia

France beat Australia by 4-1 while Denmark and Tunisia played goalless draw. France will qualify for next round without much trouble for sure. Denmark missed many chances against Tunisia and if things not went to the plan for them in next 2 games then other teams in the group can end Denmark's journey early.

Group E

Teams : Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan

Top 2 : Spain, Germany

New Wild Card : Japan

Spain with a big win of 7-0 over Costa Rica is looking settled for at least top 4 finish. They have everything that any team can ask for in this World Cup. Their attack is dangerous and have many options. They are not dependent on one or two players to score goals like many other teams are. Their Tiki-Taka is still mesmerizing.

Germany lost to Japan, and would look to win against both Spain and Costa Rica. If they failed to do so and Japan win against Costa Rica then it can be a game over for them early in the Group Stage. Costa Rica is a good team but in this World Cup they are not progressing to the Knock Out. Japan is our new Wild Card and if they win against Costa Rica which they can surely, then they have very much chances to progress to the next round.

Group F

Teams : Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Top 2 : Belgium, Croatia

Belgium won against Canada and Croatia managed only a draw against Morocco. This has open up this group for both Canada and Morocco. We are still backing Belgium and Croatia to cross the first huddle. But this is FIFA World Cup 2022 and who knows if we have more surprises to come from this group as well.

Group G

Teams : Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Top 2 : Brazil, Switzerland

Wild Card : Serbia

Both Brazil and Switzerland have 3 points each after first group match. They have more chances to progress to the next round. Serbia is a good team and is in-form also. They will surely be looking to make an impact in their remaining matches.

Cameroon football team's fan base is huge. They would surely be wanting to give their fans something to cheer about.

Group H

Teams : Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

Top 2 : Portugal, Uruguay

Wild Card : Ghana

Ghana lost to Portugal 3-2 but showed that no teams in the group can take them lightly in remaining matches. They have the team that can qualify for the knockouts. Uruguay will be disappointed after their performance against South Korea.

We know that Portugal are favorites to qualify for Knock Outs from this group. Ronaldo has become the first player to score goal in five World Cups. Ronaldo fans are cheering him to lift the World Cup this time since this is going to be his last World Cup.
